Peugeot 1938 : 202
Launched in April, the 202 was Peugeot's new started model after stopping production of the 201. The economic car with 1.1 litre 30 hp pushrod engine received, like its bigger siblings, the “Fuseau Sochaux” styling. Its independent front wheels would initially be suspended by torsion bars, then later by a transverse spring that would improve its roadholding. The range was added to in 1939 with, among others, the launch of a pretty cabriolet. The 202 would be revived following the war and produced until July 1949.
