1937 Chevrolet Master Deluxe Series GA news, pictures
This Chevrolet Master Deluxe Wagon wears a coachbuilt body by Hercules Campbell. It was on display at the 2008 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.
For 1937, Chevrolet offered the Master and Master Deluxe Series. Both series rode on a wheelbase that measured 112.25-inches and both were fitted with a six-cylinder engine that produced 8 horsepower. Both had three-speed gearboxes with four-wheel hydraulic brakes. the 'Deluxe' series came with extra convenience items such as a dashboard heater, a front passenger armrest, twin sun visors, double windshield wipers, dual tail-lights, and front bumper guards.
Both series were available in six different bodystyles with the Deluxe selling for about $50 more to its counterpart Sibling bodystyle. More versions of the Deluxe were sold than the Master 'GA' series. The most popular bodystyle was the Deluxe Town Sedan which had over 300,000 examples sold. The most popular Master Series was also the Town Sedan which saw 178,645 units sold.
